Persuading Ply

I have used this contraption resembling a medieval torture device to convince the inserted sheets of plywood to take different shapes. By varying the angle of the clamps I was able to experiment with differing proportion and form for the resulting curves.

Galeria Kaufhof Berlin

The Wool Modern Exhibition is cruising and Routa along with it. The collection is now on show in deepest Berlin in the windows of Galeria Kaufhof on Alexanderplatz. The glass provides a reflection to the past placing the fibre in parallel with the Plattenbau prefabricated concrete slab housing typical for the DDR era.
